About the Community of HanoverHanover is a growing community located in both Wright and Hennepin Counties, just a few miles south of St. Michael/Albertville. The North Crow River flows right through our Downtown River District, providing Hanover with an environment that sets our community apart from neighboring citiesHanover Parks & RecreationWe have a large park adjacent to the City Hall known as Settlers Park. This park has a picnic shelter, which is also available for rent for family events or other functions for a minimal charge. Settlers Park also offers a playground area, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, as well as picnic grills and tables. There are two ball fields on the premises.
There are two other city parks in Hanover. One is located on Meander Road, known as Pheasant Run Park. This park has two gazebos with picnic tables, grills, a small basketball court, and a playground area. Another residential park is located on the west side of the city, in the Hanover Hills development. Eagle View Park has a playground area, a gazebo with a picnic table as well as a sliding hill for use in winter.
Adjacent to the City Hall is the Hanover Athletic Association area. There are two ball fields and an ice skating rink with a warming house owned and coperated by the Hanover Athletic Association. In the summer the ice rink doubles as a skate board area.
