The park system includes parks with playgrounds, athletic fields and tennis courts for active play. Visitors can also enjoy the wonders of nature on the trails along the lakes and through the forested areas of the City.
Recreation: The Recreation division of the Parks and Recreation Board offers a wide range of programs and interests for preschool age children to senior citizens. In past years there were over 800 programs offered and over 39, 000 participants who discovered the joy of being active and learning new leisure activities.
Community Center: The Community Center division of the Parks and Recreation Board is a recreational and meeting facility open for drop-in or rental use. Our 750,000 annual visitors bring people of all ages through our doors.
