About the Community of Robbinsdale

Small town tradition survives in Robbinsdale's typical main street businesses and family-friendly atmosphere. Affordable, quality, single family homes are the predominant land use. Abutting the northwest corner of Minneapolis, the City provides a quiet haven from the bustle of city life. A regional medical center, convenient shopping, lake vistas, a variety of recreation activities, all only 15 minutes from downtown Minneapolis. Or stay in town and Celebrate Whiz Bang Days the second weekend in July.

Robbinsdale, Minnesota is a city of about 14,000 people located next to the northwest corner of Minneapolis. The City is over 100 years old and has maintained its small town feel. New housing options are on the horizon with a number of townhome developments under consideration.

Robbinsdale Parks & Recreation

The Robbinsdale Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the City's fourteen parks totaling 110 acres, park development, improvement projects and operations. Park development and acquisition funding is provided through the City's general fund, government grants and donations from civic and non-profit community groups. Robbinsdale residents, community groups and businesses may "Adopt-a-Park." This program gives residents a way to contribute to a cleaner environment by lending a hand to keep parks clean.

The Fitness Center facility includes a large gymnasium and an extensive exercise room. Family and individual membership are available for purchase, as well as daily fees. Rentals are available for large and small group activities also.
