About the Community of Woodbury

A growing suburb in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, Woodbury is located just southeast of St. Paul, the state's capital. The city is in close proximity to one of Minnesota's largest employers, 3M, and to the St. Croix River Valley, providing a beautiful natural setting and year-round recreational opportunities.

Woodbury is known for its attractive residential neighborhoods, which are connected by more than 100 miles of multi-use trails and surrounded by 3,000 acres of dedicated park land. Residents have a wide choice of housing, ranging from apartments and townhomes to large-lot estates.

Woodbury Parks & Recreation

The city contains many attractive residential areas. Eight small lakes, most with public parks and pathways, dot the city. Neighborhoods are connected by more than 100 miles of multi-use trails, and residents have a wide choice of housing, ranging from apartments and townhomes to large-lot estates.

Recreational opportunities abound in Woodbury. The park system features 3,000 acres of dedicated park land, 40 community and neighborhood parks, and a swimming beach. The city's municipal golf course, Eagle Valley, opened in 1998. Woodbury also operates the Bielenberg Sports Center, which houses two indoor ice arenas and a field house with walking/running track. The outdoor complex includes 14 athletic fields, picnic facilities, and play equipment.
